CELEBRATING financial gains made after the selling of two of our seasoned players, Elisha Muroiwa and Wisdom Mutasa, is one of the good things to have happened to Dynamos. Muroiwa’s stock has risen over the years including when he made it to the Gabon Afcon finals earlier this year. Wisdom, whose father Lloyd Mutasa coaches the team, is one of the country’s rising stars. However, this should not be a comforting factor for Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa. He must be reminded to use the money wisely closing the gaps created by the duo’s impending departure. Continuity is more important than business and financial gains. — Felix Zonke, Harare.

*** We expected Charles Manyuchi to win the match. We never expected you to lose to such an unfamiliar and an unknown opponent. Nation expects an apology from you Charles! — Lovemore Kashowa, Kuwadzana.

*** Wonderful news to hear that we are focusing on a bumper harvest, which will spur the agricultural sector growth. It looks like Zimbabwe will not be importing maize this year. Dr Joseph Made; you should take a bow and we hope to see you getting due recognition. — Miros Kapeta, Mt Darwin.

*** Congratulations are in perfect order for you Chief Justice Malaba for this appointment. This is a welcome move and the President has put to rest the needless drama we have had to date. Appointment on merit. Long live meritocracy. Congratulations, Amhlophe Baba Malaba. — Kudakwashe Mudimu, Bulawayo.

*** So Barclays is leaving Zimbabwe and Malawians are taking over. This is one of the top four banks in the country and will be bought by a family-run Malawian bank, which is always in the news for the wrong reasons. For all their strictness, I think the Barclays Plc are making a big mistake here. Barclays will most certainly collapse if this deal sails through. — Rukudzo Makunike, Harare.
