WESTERN embassies that support opposition parties can see their regime change tools politically in disarray. NERA is an unfortunate political drama that embarrasses those budgeting to support all stooges of the West, as they pretend to speak of democracy in our country.

The political drama script that started with ZimPF masquerading and pretending an alliance with MDC-T, gave birth to NPP. Suddenly the public was given another outfit, MDC-T, minus NPP. The NPP then appears confused about being in or out of MDC-T. — Anonymous, Harare.

*** We are back in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League for 2017. My appeal to all soccer fans is to enjoy the games and avoid any form of hooliganism. — Lovemore Kashawo, Harare.

*** Police spikes are a very primitive tool that should never be used on a vehicle carrying an innocent passenger other than the driver.

Why expose an innocent person to harm for a fine worth less than $30? The police should have a protocol, well known to the public, that governs their use of “deadly force”.

The protocol should cover where and when to use spikes, handguns and assault rifles, or even teargas. The ZRP seems to be overenthusiastic in doing the wrong things. Police should never be the enemy of the common man. — Mapako Anoyera, Harare.

*** The Batoka Gorge hydroelectricity generating dam is of strategic importance, and at the end of the day should remain a public-owned asset. It should not go into private hands, but can be financed by some private capital. — L. B, Harare.

*** The disorientation in opposition party circles speaks volumes about their violent disposition, as incorporated in the NERA. When such violent politicians are denied permission to organise and arrange demonstrations, they shout to the West that they have the right to practise their political culture. — Garikai Kasu, Harare.
