God of the Impossible

-

Mark 10 vs 27 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” IN JANUARY 2009 a plane landed in the Hudson River, the pilot miraculously landed the plane in the river instead of force landing at a runway. The plane’s two engines stopped working mid-air, and with nowhere to go and seconds to make a decision on where to land, the captain decided to forcibly land the plane in the river, thereby saving lives and becoming a hero. Everyone glorified the captain and right- fully so, he had saved human life. When faced with crisis many of us implode and give up, we lose all hope and the only thing we wish for is to die.

How many times have you miraculously come out of circumstances and situations that appeared impossible, where it seemed as if your life was coming to an end? Do you remember how you survived and what led you out of the valley of death?

We often attribute our escape from near-death experiences to luck or to our own heroic abilities. The fact is that it is the Lord who makes these miracles possible. He is a God of second chances and in situations where there is no option left, He gives us the option of landing in the Hudson and coming out alive.
