TelOne ‘Alert Me’ service improves client experience
TELONE “Alert Me” service, which was recently introduced for all broadband customers has been applauded for improving the experience of clients who are now able to receive updates of their data balance and get reminders for recharging. This comes as part of the continuous improvement of customer experience by TelOne as it helps avoid the inconvenience of unexpected service disconnection.
Alert me service is an optional service that customers can register for.
Once registered, one is able to receive notifications of their data usage.
There is an option to opt out if one no-longer wants to use the service.
The service was designed mainly to provide a two factor notification system where customers can receive notifications via the web and through short message services (SMS).
Each time the client is logged in, notifications of data usage pop up while SMS notification system provides notifications to the clients in the following instances: ◆ When a customer has consumed 50 percent ◆ When a customer has consumed 90 percent ◆ The last five days before the bundle expires ◆ On the 1st, 5th and 15th day after the bundle has been exhausted. The service provides the following benefits to broadband customers; ◆ The service is free of charge as customers are not charged any extra for receiving notifications ◆ More control over one’s broadband account as the service notifies on how much data is left at a given interval including when the bundle is about to reach threshold. ◆ Notifications on the expiry date of one’s bundle. ◆ Provides customers with extra control in managing how their broadband is being utilised.
