Response to “President meets provincial chairpersons”

Our President is determined in making sure that he engages all leadership in different structures so that he is updated on what needs to be done. Such meetings are constructive in that there will be close monitoring of happenings in all structures of our community. This will also promote transparency and accountability hence eliminating crimes such as corruption and fraud. — @tantawi.

*** Response to “Female teachers raise GBV red flag”

Indeed, gender based violence should stop. This is not only common in the teaching profession, but in all working places. Males always act nice to women when they have sexual interests in you and they don’t respect your principles, dignity or marital status.

This makes the working environment unbearable. We all want to work in a free environment. It is also very sad that women kill each other’s self-esteem through the grapevine. Measures should be put to in place to punish all those who don’t respect other people. — @melissa.

Response to “Court advises cops to reform”

Everyone’s lamentations on inefficiency and corruption are directed to the cops. Police should work extra hard to gain the trust and support of the nation. I have never heard of any other country that has no confidence at all in their police force. — Buhle Nyandoro. Response to “Illegal to offer extra lessons for a fee: Govt”

There are times when an exam class student needs help from a teacher on a certain topic. Sometimes they cannot get the help unless they pay the fee. It has been discovered too that those that do extra lessons from a certain teacher on a particular subject are favoured as they get more attention from that teacher when civil service is being provided. Every student has to be treated equally so that they reach their maximum potential. — Sarudzai Mupondiwa.

Response to “Borehole drilling project begins”

Accessibility of water matters for both domestic and economic use. We want to thank Government for undertaking this project, which will go a long way in improving the lives of people. We know that once water becomes easily accessible, a lot of farming projects can be started, which will help empowering our communities. — Dadirai Mashora.

*** Response to “Dad clobbers daughter to death”

I’m sure this man knew what he was settling for when he got to know about his wife’s children and decided to strengthen his union with her. There is no way a mother can abandon her children just to marry someone else. He just had to live with it and adjust to the situation he had gotten himself into. It’s sad that his disapproval led to the death of an innocent soul. — Tawanda Nyoni.

Response to “Illegal to offer extra lessons for a fee: Govt”

This I agree to. A parent may realise that their child requires extra lessons. A parent should be able to request a professional teacher to assist their child. That assistance naturally should be paid for — nothing wrong with that. That arrangement should be private — even done at a teacher’s home and definitely not at the school premises. Any extra lessons at a school should not be paid for. A teacher could easily take advantage of the situation and not teach properly in order to force for extra lessons. — John.
