- Grace Nyoni Midlands Reporter

ZANU-PF Youth League in the Midlands Province is set to launch #ED HasMyVote campaign to drum up support for President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the ruling party ahead of the harmonised elections in a few months.

#EDhasMyVote, which mainly focuses on mobilising youths support ahead of the forthcoming elections, has already been launched in Harare and Victoria Falls.

President Mnangagwa recently said elections would be held before July.

Midlands Provincial Youth League chairperson Cde Edmore Samambwa said the province would soon launch the #EDhasMyVote campaign as the revolutionary party oils its election campaign machinery.

“We are going to launch the #EDhas MyVote campaign in Gweru soon,” he said. “We want to launch the campaign before the end of the ongoing Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) mop-up exercise.”

Cde Samambwa said the province had joined other provinces in mobilising youths support for President Mnangagwa ahead of the elections.

He said the campaign also encouraged youths to register to vote.

“Some provinces have already launched the campaign, we are going to launch ours soon,” said Cde Samambwa. “Our aim is to encourage youths within our province to be part and parcel of the registration so that they vote.”

Cde Samambwa invited all the youths from the province to be part of the campaign.

“I urge all youths to come in numbers for the launch of the #EDhasMy Vote campaign,” he said. “Let’s rally behind our President and ensure that he wins resoundingly.”
