Response to “Operation Restore Legacy irreversible” We need to work and develop our country that has been torn apart for so long. No to more public holidays. — @ WillChaps. *** Response to “Electricity-related accidents kill 224” 42 percent of deaths due to infrastructure collapse is too high. So what is being done in order to reverse this trend? Honestly, maintaining infrastructure should be high on the agenda. — @ Dhakwa. *** Response to “ZEC thanks poll partners” Our hearts are with Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) officers who worked 10-hour shifts and have not been paid up to now. — @Kuzaphelak. Responses to “Lack of trust in banks drives cash shortages” Chinamasa and Mangudya are the ones to blame for the cash crisis we are experiencing as a nation.
Honestly, how do we explain the fact that we are the only country in the world that does not have a currency?
A country that is not at war, a country that is not affected by any natural disaster, a country that claims to have the highest literacy rate in the world?
Yet we fail on the basics like public transport system, health . . . own currency, clean water, sanitation, electricity provision, accessible roads, to name a few.
Please let us be serious as a country and as authorities. — Kimberly Mangwende.
*** There are two basic reasons for putting money into a bank, namely security against loss and an opportunity to grow the money.
At the moment there is more cost than interest accrued by the depositor and of course, the money is inaccessible once deposited!
No brainer therefore. Bring back the interest for starters. — Montezuma.
Mwonzora may be right about attempts on his and Khupe’s life. The MDC ideology is premised upon constitutionalism, democracy and the rule of law — tenets which the self-styled democratic movement is flouting. Violence is now the MDC trademark. In any case, violence is the legacy Chamisa inherited from Tsvangirai. Harvest House was a no-go area during Tsvangirai’s days at the helm and the same is happening now. History always repeats itself. What happened to Mangoma and Biti during Morgan’s era is now happening to Khupe and Mwonzora under Chamisa’s unconstitutional era.
Like Tsvangirai, Chamisa is a dictator. He unleashes the mafia on those who differ with him.
It is unfortunate, I think the real MDC is dead. — Gift Masuku.
Response to “Traffic watchdog donates to Harare Central Hospital”
Harare Central Hospital has been operating without equipment for more than 10 years after the old machine had become unserviceable. And yet it takes a donation to get a replacement. I think our Government can do better than this. — Rudeologist.
