Response to “Return to work
or no pay, doctors told” Common law principles. No work, no pay. Why are they expecting to get paid when they have not been to work? The Government is saying what any other responsible employer would say. They are not saying they have stopped trying to address the issues of doctors. —@ Phadzwa. *** Responses to “ED pardons prisoners” I think this is a progressive intervention. The scope of the released convicts looks very reasonable. — @Chirasha. *** Thank you Mr President, if it were not for you they would not be pardoned. We thank you for your forgiving heart. —@ Anthony Mitengo.

Response to “Is Mugabe the criminal mastermind? He is the mastermind of everything bad that has befallen this nation. If it were in other countries he could be in prison by now. He must appreciate and apologise. — Michael Horomba. *** Response to “Zim in top 4 investor targeted states: Poll” Zimbabwe has always been a choice in every sector. Be it tourism, investment and human resource. But because we have the leadership that is under sanctions, it becomes very difficult to show our true size. — Joseph Tondondo. No work, no pay for striking doctors is a fair principle. Why should they be paid for doing nothing? They have been heard so now they must return to work. People are desperate for their help in hospitals. If they insist, Government please ask military doctors to attend to patients in hospitals as a stop-gap. — Simbisai.
*** There are people who are always against the development of our country as long as it comes through the ZANU-PF Government. But for us to build our country and our economy there is need for togetherness regardless of our political affiliation. We want unity for development. — Freedom Sibanda.

Response to “Mugabe admits
to externalising funds” That is indeed very criminal. What is being done with such an issue? He spoke of one man, one farm policy yet he and his family have over 20 farms. They encouraged us to use plastic money yet they got cash in US dollars. — Progressive Zimbabwean.
*** Response to “Turkey keen to boost ties with Zim” One other area of possible cooperation could be in agribusiness. There is a potentially big market in Turkey for exotic fruits that are in low supply and absurdly expensive in Turkish markets.
Zimbabwean fruit produce could easily make their way to Turkey while Turkish products could be of interest to Zimbabweans. In addition, there could be a wide variety of Turkish processed foods that may be of interest to Zimbabwe that are worth looking into.
Turkish owned Godiva could also explore ways of increasing production by investing in Zimbabwe’s cocoa producers. In any case, it’s an exciting time for Turkish businessmen to explore the numerous possibilities Zimbabwe has to offer. — Mert Kivanc.
*** Response to “ED, AU to sign continental treaty” Our President is doing his best. He knows the problems Zimbabwe is facing. He would not be going to these strides to mend and build relations if he did not care about our welfare. —Michelle Munya.
