Churchill ……………………18 Hillcrest……………………..15

CHURCHILL continued with their dominance over old foes Hillcrest 18-15 at the ongoing Dairibord Schools Rugby festival at Prince Edward yesterday.

The two rivals battled in one of the highlights of yesterday’s third day of the annual sports fiesta which has more than 100 schools taking part.

The Bulldogs were the better side although it was Hillcrest who drew first blood in the 11 minute.

Churchill assistant coach Bob Mahari said it was a tough battle.

“I give credit to Hillcrest, they gave us a torrid time, we made mistakes and they almost punished us for that but we managed to recover.

‘‘The match was a challenging one and now we shift focus and see how well the boys recover before our next game against St George’s.

“We had a good game with the Owuru brothers, Mathew and James, doing very well and so did our fly-half Nigel Tinarwo,’’ he said.
