Response to “Hwange Colliery boss suspended” The board must launch a forensic audit. I suspect a lot has happened and this is just a tip of the iceberg involving two senior bosses. How about the rest of the executives? — @Joeparie. *** Response to “Mhofu snubs home-based strikers” Dzvukamanja is a quality striker and should have been included. Hachiro and Mavhunga have done virtually nothing in the league this year, how many goals? — @Murenga. *** Responses to “British professor’s damning appraisal of Chamisa” Chamisa is excitedly spewing naked lies and absolute nonsense almost every day and The Herald is simply exposing him! Great job by The Herald! — @Tatendashereni.

Responses to “Goat herder Majome

speaks out” In ZANU-PF, we don’t think our elders should be classified as goat herders. From the primary elections results, there are indications that our party has a significant number of young blood of aspirants coming in. A fusion of young and old is necessary in any organisation for smooth continuity and necessary renewal. May be the lady, Majome is being too emotional. It seems loss of income is the major pain here. — Wallas Mheni.

*** Anyone who is perceived as a threat in terms of logic will be expelled by Chamisa. Candidate imposition has disastrous consequences. I can foresee more problems coming out of consensus and candidate impositions. Many candidates are not happy with this process and will be standing in as independents. — Ernest Charega.

I am one of those who enjoyed following and reading Sekai Nzenza’s contributions. I wish her well in her new political career as she leaves the column. Our party ZANU-PF is enriched by having such a gifted woman. I can see her in our Parliament in the next few months after the coming elections. I hope one day she will have the opportunity to speak as a minister in our Government. — Cde Mzvinavhu.

Response to “Windfall

for health workers” At times it’s necessary to consider experience rather than qualifications, because performance tends to improve as more experience is gained. There is also no reason for the huge salary gaps between grades given that the job that will be done is more or less the same. It does not make sense to maintain a salary difference of more than 15 percent between grades as if the absence of the next grade is going to paralyse services. That re-grading and recognising of experience is the right thing to do. Increase and reduce that gap between grades and the expenditure will be very much sustainable. The President really means business when he says Zimbabwe is open for business. — Locomotive.

*** Responses to “A farewell to

readers of my column” Being in the running to be an MP does not mean the village and its history have to cease to exist. Your village and Sengwe will always be there and someone like you needs to be writing about them like you do; telling some of us, who love the village and village life and its traditional history.

I am sure you can be a developer, MP of Chikomba East, as well as continuing with your enriching column. We yearn for stories of the villages of old. Please reconsider. — Khulu.
