Churches foretold MDC-Alliance violence

CHURCH leaders foretold the opposition MDC-Alliance violence that rocked Harare Central Business District on Wednesday, leaving six people dead, many injured and property damaged while trying to mar the just-ended harmonised elections which had been conducted peacefully.

Leaders of various denominations prophesied there would be violence from the losers and warned the faithful to pray for the nation.

Speaking to congregants this year, Prophet D. Solomons of A. A Ministries warned the Government about the recent acts of hooliganism by the MDC-Alliance.

“The Government must be aware, these opposition in Zimbabwe are going to create noise and chaos. People are going to be abused and beaten. After that they will point the finger to the ruling party and say ‘we know your people are violent, you did this again’,” said Prophet Solomons.

“They know one way or the other that they are going to lose. They want to say that we were robbed or elections were rigged because in every loser someone must be blamed. God is telling me that this opposition knows that they can’t win. If you see chaos after the elections you must know that it wasn’t the ruling party it was the opposition parties, they are failing to put their story straight,” warned Prophet Solomons.

On December 10, 2017, another pastor from Devine Kingdom Baptist of Bulawayo, Pastor Ian Ndlovu warned his congregants of the violence act, saying people would to be injured.

The prophecy also urged Zimbabweans to give President Mnangagwa a chance to fulfil his duties as he was ordained by God.

“What I saw in the vision was foul and very painful. This is a message of exhortation, I am not partisan. God gave us a leader and his team less than three weeks ago and he is saying let us be patient with him and his team because He has given him a heart to save Zimbabweans and future generations in particular,” said Pastor Ndlovu.

He said people were not supposed to look at the past, but rather the future.

“I know some people when they look at the past they are driven to have misgivings and anger, but God is saying that will not take you anywhere because until he finishes his assignment and you try to oppose him I see you being injured.

“The season that he has been given is for repairing what has been damaged pertaining to where we are coming from. The Holy Spirit is saying let us not disturb him during the repairing process. Those who will try to stand against him I saw that even the angels of God will judge them and they will get hurt and whatever community, which I won’t name, will not even assist them.

“So if you hear demonstrations you should have wisdom to first ask God either to participate in such things,” he warned.

Even apostolic sects also foretold the violence and did their best to warn people not to take part in such demonstrations citing that the acts would be fighting the will of God.

“I saw resistance from a group in this country which will cause chaos, but they won’t go anywhere because the Lord will protect,” one Madzibaba of Johane Masowe Apostolic Church was quoted as saying.
