Let’s heed President’s call for nation-building

-

EDITOR — We thank President Mnangagwa for his skills that saw us hold peaceful, fair, free and credible elections.

It’s time for national unity and hard work to implement his policies that will see us enjoying economic recovery in the near future.

When he declared that our elections were going to be different from the past, myopic doubting people beat their negative drums.

But those of us who have followed his speeches from the time he was appointed Vice President, can testify that he means positive change in Zimbabwe.

I love repeat-watching the video when he was interviewed on Chinese TV on his maiden visit to China, as Zimbabwean VP.

His views on our economy were instructive and music to our ears.

He outlined his vision. We pray that Zimbabweans will unite, bury their political differences and embrace his leadership towards economic recovery.

From my experience as an investment executive for nearly three decades in the private sector, investors value political stability, predictability and sound business policies that encourage businesses to flourish, create jobs and profit.

Farmers are waiting for manufacturing recovery that will resurrect profitable markets for their produce.

Miners are seeing policies that give them opportunities for viable business operations. Under ED’s leadership Zimbabwe is poised for better times. Zanu-PF’s resounding victory is a clear testimony of his leadership and a promise of a brighter future. Unity is power, Harare.
