Response to “New RG tackles queues, graft” Masango is the guy with a vision the nation has been looking for. Hope he doesn’t retire soon. — @GoodmanMlalazi.

*** Response to “10 Zimbabweans die in SA accident” I think it’s high time we had fast trains for that long route to preserve the lives of people. South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia should come together to make a way for rail transport that is fast and safe. —@ jazminelotze.

*** Response to “NetOne swings to profitability” @LazarusMuchenje had energised that firm and it’s unfortunate he was undermined. If we get managerial talent we need to allow it to perform and judge it on its results. That dispute with the former minister was retrogressive. — @tapiwamuungani.

Response to “Magaya donates $1 million goods” God bless Prophet W Magaya, Mama Magaya and Yadah partners all over the world for a great effort, many lives have been spared. #pwm #prophetichealinganddeliveranceministries. — Nkosiphile Mabhena.

*** Response “I am walking alone — Mutasa” As long as you don’t give up yourself! Fans will come back when you push hard for what you want to do and results of your effort start to manifest. DeMbare for life. — Spuuga Mahwani.

Lloyd Mutasa has failed Dynamos; now is the right time for him to quit and let someone save the season. Callisto Pasuwa is unaffiliated to any club; he can come in and help Dynamos avoid relegation. — Tommy, Westgate.

Response to “Revisiting Marechera’s dissertation on language” Thank you Chirere for affording my mind to reflect on one of Zimbabwe and Africa’s foremost literary icons. Marechera was in a class of his own and arguably one of Africa’s most controversial wordsmiths to ever commit pen to paper.

My fascination with Marechera began in secondary school and by the time I was in Form Two I had read and re-read The House of Hunger and my favourite piece was the poem “Characters from Bergfrith”. Marechera had a way with words and he had the uncanny ability to hold the reader spellbound and let forth torrents of overflowing rivers of words. The reader is left marvelling at the author’s prowess in coining and subtly knitting the words together achieving a rhythmical pattern. It’s comforting that there has been lots of scholarship around the life and works of Marechera. A friend of mine has done a PhD on him, which I have had the privilege to review even though my only qualification is I have read Marechera and found him a bomb! — Max.

*** Responses to “IMF offers to help

Zim clear arrears” Good news for Zimbabwe. Thank you ED for ushering in a fresh era to Zimbabwe. May God protect you and grand you more wisdom. ED you are God-sent to unite Zimbabweans despite political differences as witnessed by your extending of the olive branch to MDC-Alliance leader Chamisa. Keep re-engaging the international community for Zimbabwe’s sake. You are a visionary and we know you can take Zimbabwe to its rightful position in SADC, Africa and the world. — Linda Ndlovu UZ.
