Bury CIA next to Bush

BECAUSE the United State’s history is synonymous with captivity, genocide, exploited labour, wars for profit, rape and plunder, all funerals held for their former heads of state, by circumstance, are nothing more than feeble exercises of damage control. Since we are talking about a nation who aggressively took the baton from Adolf Hitler and the notorious Third Reich as the greatest threat to world peace and stability, it was more cumbersome than usual to lay to rest the only US president who prior to holding that office was the Director of the CIA, George Herbert Walker Bush. Since Mr Bush’s father, Prescott Bush, gave Hitler unconditional support, it all comes full circle.

If anyone outside US borders doubts the degree of political brainwashing, that takes place inside US borders, let them wrap their heads around the fact that Mr Bush went to his grave as the most popular living President. This includes George W. Bush reinventing himself as a born again humanitarian obsessed with Mother Africa’s redemption.

What must be analysed is whether this stems from a historical disconnect or a shameless disposition, that has resulted in embracing a narrative that provides US imperialism with the green light to erase its errors, atrocities and blemishes.

At a moment in history when African children in the Diaspora’s hunger and appetite for their culture and true identity is arguably stronger than ever before, an inevitable clash with US-EU imperialist spin doctors concerning their efforts to justify their actions has cross-generational implications, that in all honesty we don’t appear to be prepared to handle.

When they discover that the CIA was created by the same Democrat Harry S. Truman, who desegregated the US military, every civil/human rights organisation in our community runs the risk of being accused of holding back on what they advertise and define as voter education, this perhaps will be even more challenging than explaining that the founder of the KKK Nathan Forrest was also a member of the Democratic Party.

These same children will have an immensely difficult time holding back their tears, after discovering that the drug culture that is inextricably linked to the prison industrial complex, was exploited by the CIA when they orchestrated a Crack Cocaine distribution campaign in order to finance their regime change efforts in Iran and Nicaragua.

During Mr Bush’s eulogy he was credited for living by the following seven mantras — Tell The Truth, Do Your Best, Don’t Blame People, Be Strong, Try Hard, Forgive, Stay the Course.

Using this approach to life itself, who in their right mind believes the CIA will ever share blow by blow details about their crimes against humanity, unless it is forced by all out protests, that cannot be contained or sabotaged by the Democratic and Republican parties.

If US imperialism believes transparency for its citizens is indeed the wave of the future, are they willing to rewrite the textbooks used in Social Studies/US Government classes that will permit revealing CIA’s activity past and present. Exactly three numerical years after the All African People’s Revolutionary Party and the American Indian Movement/Grand Governing Council called for a smash the FBI-CIA coalition, a former US Senator Frank Church representing Idaho established a committee known as the Church Committee which was set up to investigate abuses and wrongdoings by the FBI, CIA, NSA and IRS.

Perhaps the most jaw-dropping information revealed was beginning in the 1950s, the CIA in conjunction with the FBI had opened 215 000 pieces of mail of its own citizens.

The Church Commission also led to the publication of an interim report entitled “Alleged Assassination Attempts” involving leaders which singled out a few of their allies — Trujillo of the Dominican Republic and Diem of Vietna — but also General Rene Schneider of Chile and Comrades Patrice Lumumba and Commandante Fidel Castro.

This led to former US presidents drafting executive orders banning political assassinations. However, US imperialism found wiggling room to dispose of Comrade Maurice Bishop in Grenada and an all-out military invasion of Panama coined “Operation Just Cause” by former US Joint Chief of Staff/Secretary of State General Colin Powell.

Since 2002, the CIA has its own university that works in conjunction with the National Intelligence University and the Sherman Kent School for Intelligence Analysis. The classes taught are chemical weapons, manufacturing, communication skills, defence driving, dirty bombs, geography of critical reasons, information technology/intelligence community, money laundering, project management, weapons proliferation and weapon training, terrorism, weapons of mass destruction.

Today, the CIA accuses Zimbabwe of being a transit point for cannabis, heroin, mandrax, methamphetamine and forced labour/sex trafficking. The CIA says that Cuba coerces and forces their doctors to engage in foreign campaigns, which suggests solidarity and a love for life are not part of the equation. The CIA says Eritrea engages in forced labour and Venezuela is involved in drugs and sex trafficking. The time has come to bury the CIA next to Mr Bush.
