*** Acie Lumumba made unsubstantiated claims and an investigation proved that. The four directors should simply sue Lumumba. — Mapozho Saruchera.

Response to “Knives out for Mudzuri” Chamisa is afraid of competition hence the decision to eliminate Mudzuri and Mwonzora from the presidential race. Democracy in the MDC died a long time ago. During the 2014 congress the late party leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, declared that his post was not up for contest and it is this same script that Chamisa has adopted. — Elijah Chihota.
*** Response to “Intratrek wins $25m
ZPC lawsuit” This case was mishandled by ZPC probably with some outside influence. Normally construction contracts have well laid down procedures for management, monitoring, dispute resolution and arbitration. Let’s now give Intratrek and ZPC the chance to complete the project within the agreed budget. — Maxwell Chasi.
*** Response to “Natpharm to open
retail outlets” I think it’s a good innovation to have Natpharm pharmacies around the country to ensure inclusive access of medicines. The current pharmaceutical industry model really needed a shake- up given the challenges we are facing. The way privately owned retail pharmacies have mushroomed is unacceptable in my view. They are too many and are holding patients to ransom with their greedy pricing. I would want to think that even manufacturers like Varichem, Datlabs, Plus Five should have their own warehouse pharmacies retailing medicines as well and cut out the many middlemen in the form of pharamcies where prices are multiplied. That way Government can ensure its policies with regards to health are adhered to. — Dominic Rugare.

We will always thank our Government for its efforts in stabilising the economy. Partially fulfilling doctors’ demands is true servant leadership. We only need to be patient on this path to economic recovery. Dialogue is the best, we should shun demonstrations. Our Government is there to listen to our grievances. — Rudo Saungweme.

Responses to “Knives out for Mudzuri” Mudzuri was warned before that if he plays with children he must be prepared to get dirty. He is too mature to be a member of such a pre-school outfit like the MDC Alliance. Old people must not be seen playing marbles with children. — Masaisai.
*** The MDC has no direction at all. Honestly, if it cannot put its house in order, what kind of political dialogue are they crying for? What kind of positive discussions will come out from a party made up of barbaric elements? — Paidamoyo Mutsvairo
*** Response to “EDITORIAL COMMENT: Early Presidential endorsement well-conceived” I totally agree. In Africa we were schooled to think that everything Western is the best thing to do. Hence you see the war for land that has begun in South Africa has those opposed to it arguing that it will ruin the economy. They don’t believe in themselves keeping the economy performing and empowering themselves as well. Is it then surprising to hear them sing the same song about the land reform consequences as the Western media? — Masaisai.
