Response to “Inputs scheme abusers will be punished” We have seen a lot of people who sell fertilisers and seeds from the Presidential Inputs Support Scheme. Such behaviour is not right at all and the people should be prosecuted. They are only pulling us back, when the President thinks he has provided enough for many families in the rural areas. At the end of the day, those are the same people who are the first to go hungry after they have sold what they were given for free. The price which the inputs are sold at is very little, almost half the price we find in shops. We are only cheating ourselves, and this will not help us at all. Punishment is the only way we can get rid of these people. —@ Muzezuru.

Response to “Airzim struggles to fly”
I am not sure if that is the way to go. Why not start by local flights and then go regional? In the past five years, airlines like Fastjet and RwandAir have shown that there is a market locally and regionally. This would be good for confidence building. I can’t imagine Air Zimbabwe being competitive on the long hauls. — Mungandidii.

Response to “agencies UN back fight against child marriages”
So, we allow a 16-year- old girl to have sex, but forbid them to marry at 16. In other words, we are institutionalising sex out of marriage. That is contrary to our culture and our religions. It is strange that we claim that early marriage causes
HIV without worrying that pregnancy out of marriage can also lead to
HIV infection. — Tofara Yaniso Dube.
Response to “ZIMRA impounds Warriors kit”
I totally agree. A letter of exemption on customs duty should be in
files and does not have
ZIFA ZIFA to run around. Besides, I do not believe that this is classified as a national project, otherwise the participants would not be required to pay taxes on allowances and bonuses as well. messes up
ZIFA all the time. They always wait for the last minute. Didn’t we hear the Home Affairs Minister informing the nation that had never
ZIFA approached his ministry for the so- called British Brigade passports, yet was claiming that
ZIFA the necessary requests were done? Weren’t they ZIFA’s last minute decisions that created the fiasco at the last finals in Egypt? Wasn’t
AFCON it ZIFA’s ineptitude that caused a walkover of the Mighty Warriors by Zambia? This is not the last we see
ZIFA’s failures. Watch the space. —
Masaisai.
