Responses to “Zim will soon have a smart card system to track fuel”

Good initiative. I hope this is implemented soon. Maybe this will also result in the death of the fuel black market. — Takudzwa.

Response to “Time to refuse the blurring of memory”

We have not forgotten the sinister and ugly background of MDC- ALLIANCE with the West. We remember well the CNN video clip recorded in Banket where Commercial Farmers’ Union ( CFU) members declared the political matrimonial cause between MDC and CFU. The video showed Morgan Tsvangirai receiving a cheque from a farmer. The farmer, in his short speech, was clear that CFU would support the MDC on the understanding that the Western-backed movement would reverse our land reforms if elected to govern Zimbabwe. Indeed, it is anathema to imagine the land we died for being governed by such an unpatriotic political party. We remember our late VP Dr Simon Muzenda advising that the misguided political sell- outs needed traditional healing, “yekurutsiswa”.

Up to this day Biti, Sikhala, Chamisa are still swimming in Western-brewed politics, in vain, hoping for a miracle result at elections. We can imagine if ZANU PF was not a revolutionary party that knows how to deal with neo-colonial forces, our land, the very Zimbabwe, would have gone back into the hands of colonial occupiers (not owners). Yes, our memories should never be blurred by current economic hardships caused, mainly, by sanctions imposed by the West. Aluta continua! — Cde Mzvinavhu (Prof)

Response to “197 hospital workers in self-quarantine” Well done for the rapid response.

I feel sorry for Slomo, but let us not forget that thousands of women go through what he is experiencing. Day in,day out men neglect their unemployed wives leaving them with small kids to fend for. The cases we see at the civil courts where women seek maintenance from estranged husbands and boyfriends goes to show the extent of the problem. Also, Slomo should have managed his finances better when he still could earn a salary. — Mai Keke, Harare.
