@ HeraldZimbabwe Response to “Five die of Covid-19 after attending funeral”

I want to correct your story in today’s ( yesterday) paper. It is about five family members who died of Covid-19 in Lower Gweru. The story alleges that Chief Sogwala said I am not visible as per the President’s directive. In fact, I am the one who went to the chief and went with him and the councillor to the bereaved homestead. I have been moving around the constituency doing some awareness programmes together with councillors and traditional leaders pertaining the Covid-19 protocols. — Omega Sibanda

Response to “Youths urged to take farming seriously”

This is indeed true. Giving the youths the land is a noble idea and this will impact positively on their livelihoods. Agriculture is the backbone of the country so the youth should take farming seriously. Farming will ensure youths are independent and self-sufficient. The country will not suffer from hunger. — Mo.

Response to “Traders, touts on the loose”

Something must be done about these traders and touts so that they comply with the health protocols and national measures. They are posing the risk of rapid spreading of the Covid-19 pandemic to the society. They are conducting their business without even wearing their masks, no observing of social distance and this is so sad. We cannot let complacency and ignorance kill us. We need to join hands and fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Everyone has a duty to play in the fight. Let us protect one another by being observant of the health protocols. — Godfrey.

www.herald.co.zw Response to “Illegal structures demolition to bring sanity”

The demolitions have indeed brought sanity. The illegal structures had now become hubs and breeding spaces of illegal activities such as drug dealings and dens of thieves and robbers. Harare will retain its sunshine status. Order and sanity has been restored. Corrupt councillors and council officials who used to have a hand in these operations will no longer have the opportunity to do so. — Winston Damba.

Response to “Partners recognise mental health care efforts”

Good initiative. Cases of mental health have been on the increase lately. The initiative of the mental health will help the country in achieving its health Sustainable Development Goals and universal health access to quality, complete and timely preventative medical care for all the people. This will also help in advancing mental health policies and scaling up quality mental health interventions and human rights. — Humba.
