Elijah confident ahead of ZPGA

AFTER last registerin­g a win at the Mashwede Open, seasoned profession­al golfer Davidson Elijah, who has been active in the Sunshine Tours’ Seniors Tour, will return home to add competitiv­eness in the Universal Sports Club, Zimbabwe Profession­al Golfers Associatio­n Championsh­ip at Royal Harare this morning. Elijah, a member of Chapman Golf Club, who has seen it all in the local golf, having won several tournament­s, including the Hwange Open and Mashwede Open, says he is ready for the challenge. The top profession­al will be expected to do well considerin­g the way he has been performing in the Sunshine Tour where he has since joined the Seniors Tour. “I am back home and I am looking forward to this week’s ZPGA tournament at Royal Harare. The tournament­s are coming now and it is good for us players as we can practice more and remain focused.“The tournament will be a tough one but as a competitio­n, everyone goes with one thing in his mind, that is to win. I have been working hard on my swing and putting and they are keeping on improving with each practice,”said Elijah.
