THE much awaited international training course which was scheduled for December 3 to 5 has been moved to December 7 to 12 at the same venue in the capital.

Zimbabwe national Athletics Association president Tendayi Tagara said they are looking forward to a successful course that will help coaches.

“The National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe would like to advise all the coaches who have applied and shown interest in attending the international course in Harare from 3 to 8 December 2023, that the course will now start on 7-12 December the changes has been necessitated by the need to have some basic requirements.

“The changes in dates is due to basic requirements for all courses, by world new standards that there is an online component they must do before attending the physical component

“The course will remain in Harare at the advertised venue and conditions are still the same. We are happy with the overwhelming response from coaches in and around Harare.

Tagara said as NAAZ they are happy to be hosting such a big and beneficial programme in over a decade.

“This is the first time in almost 10-years that the course will be run in Harare. We are happy with the response from private and independence schools as they host a germ of talented youngsters.

“It also shows their interest to integrate with NASH and NAPH structures. Many coaches in Harare have a lot of interest but are not qualified. Failing to be qualified disadvantage them when it comes to coaching and managing our juniors. We want coaches who are accountable to the structures

“We expect a full house of 20 coaches for the course as this is the aloud number for a full class,” he added.
