THANKS to the Masekesa drama and The Manica Post too. What the six men did has become common in our day to day lives. It was so great reading that their bosses said that the men’s actions were wrong. The men had taken the law into their own hands. — Chikanga.

So Masekesa did it, he cheated with Tomu’s wife but Tomu is being punished by staying in jail, fears of losing his job and second wife. What a pity. — Observer.

The six men who attacked the freelance journalist Clayton Masekesa should rot in jail. They degraded him in all ways possible and went further to post the videos they recorded on social media, the videos went viral in turn exposing Masekesa to further physical and emotional abuse. They deserve to be remanded in custody. A round of applause to the magistrate who dealt with the matter. — Angry citizen.

So it happens that the woman Masekesa is being alleged to have cheated with is not even Saul Tomu’s wife but his girlfriend. We do not really see why the men ganged up on Masekesa when he was just another boyfriend of Melanda’s. You can not be jealous towards another boyfriend when you have not paid any lobola for that woman. Tomu should have just ignored this whole affair and concentrated on his own marriage to his first wife. These young women will kill you. — Masekesa sympathiser. ****

Look at the Chinese, all the way from Beijing to Zim for business meetings will be using their language with an interpreter aside. What are we trying to prove when we don’t use our languages in Parliament, rallies and even in business? We also have sports-persons struggling in English before and after matches during interviews when they can freely express themselves in their mother tongues. — Richard.

I am a teacher doing a degree in developmental studies at a local university. I want to say your paper has helped me out a lot. The Manica Post has a lot of writers who are well researched and write great articles. Freedom Mutanda and Sifelani Tonje are doing well. I am being helped in my work by your feedback column where Terrence Mwedzi, Zondi Chauke and Mhlanga. Lastly, I want to thank the Editor for Mr Morris Mtisi’s English lessons. Manica Post team, keep it up. Your work is excellent. — Moses Moyo, Gweru.

Do you remember this story? We had this man slightly burning his house. What was the news? Zanu PF was allegedly accused as the report was the lawyer’s house was bombed. A bomb without an explosion! At this point in time we know for real without entirely ruling out that political violence towards harmonised elections, there is always deliberate attempts to soil ZANU-PF. We have many political parties. Intra-party violence this time around will dominate inter-party clashes but the garbage will always be heaped on ZANU-PF. This means some people are ready to do anything in the vain hope of getting into power. There is life to live after the elections. — Mahuhushe.

The growth of social media has resulted in the loss of reading culture. Books, magazines and newspapers used to be read. Nowadays people just use the internet and browse over the information they want. Reading a story from a book makes one emotionally attached to it. Just last week I finished reading Nelson Mandela’s Long Walk To Freedom, the 1996 edition. It is a thick book but the story is so absorbing. Today students should read widely to improve their language and comprehension skills. A well written book is a nugget of wisdom. Books are written to be read. — Tawanda Mhlanga.

Cashless agents are ripping us off. Why the 20 percent and where are they getting the cash? I am made to believe that some bank managers are in these scandals. — Mutare.

We have African Americans as the best sportsmen in the world but they are left to contend with racism in the US. Surprisingly, from here we have others taking Donald Trump for their uncle. Where the US has the stronghold in other countries, how much does their uncle give them when we see the same countries in self turmoil and civil unrest? Self-reliance is the key to self-determination. — Zimunya.

The MDC Alliance party primary elections are being re-run for the third time in my ward. While its president is busy lying to a rented crowd, the ordinary members are busy fighting. The primaries are marred by chaos, intimidation and massive vote rigging. The nation deserves a better opposition party. — Dangamvura.

Imagine seeing school children in their uniforms coming out of a brothel? Students from this popular all male school are frequenting a well known brothel after running away from school to come and pay for sex. What worries more is that even in broad day light they are seen entertaining sex workers. Parents are sweating to get money for fees and other items yet the sons are running away from school. It is shameful, surely our boys will perish. Parents and school leaders please monitor and guide these boys, teenage boys should spend more time with books and not sex workers. — TM.
