- Liberty Dube Business Correspondent

DELTA Beverages this week concluded an extensive one-month long retail development training programme which was meant to equip more than 45 Mutarebased beer outlet owners with trading expertise.

The training, was also attended by bar staff particularly those in direct contact with ordering and selling of beer.

The Delta Beverages personnel, who facilitated the training held at a local hotel, are sales development manager Tafadzwa Chisango, sales manager Chibuku John Mabambe, sales and distribution supervisor Nobert Muzvidziwa as well as Delta Beverages sales representatives’ lagers Ms Eve Tinarwo, Ms Ruth Chibvongodze and Mr Tapiwa Munyonga.

Traders who benefited were drawn from Sakubva, Dangamvura, Chigodora, Mutare Central Business District and Chikanga. Relevant topics covered during the four-week training were personal money management, personal business skills, running my beer business and responsible training and environment awareness.

Mr Muzvidziwa, in an interview said the traders will be handed over certificates for successfully completing the programme.

“The training was well-attended and was very successful. The participants’ response was overwhelming.

“Among other objectives, the training was meant to equip the traders as well as critical staffers on how to trade and realise profits in this volatile environment. It was also beneficial to traders who do not sell delta brands only but who are generally in business. A team of highly professional and skilled personnel managed to have informative and interactive discussion which we believe will enable them to trade successfully. We will take the programme to other districts as we aim to equip them with the same information,” he said.

The team will soon conduct the same training in other districts such as Nyanga, Rusape, Buhera and Chipinge among other districts.
