Wardrobe for men who wear uniforms

- Ann Ruthenburg

HELLO folks, this is a Valentine’s weekend. I am so excited because being a woman has many benefits associated with it.

We continue helping men to build professional wardrobes and this week we are dealing with men who spend most of the week wearing uniforms.

Here is the beginners guide to building a professional wardrobe that you can wear anytime.

If you are a man with a specific uniform at work — the only time you will need personal clothing is when you are off duty and during weekends.

You wear a suit rarely, but when you do, you need to look very sharp.

Beginners guide to the uniform men’s wardrobe:

You need one suit of your choice in a dark colour. A pair of dress shoes in a dark colour. A pair or two of casual leather shoes (brown, black or dark grey) and linked to the shoes are matching belts.

Four+ dress shirts, possibly blue, white and multi-coloured one; three+ neck ties to match your shirts.

Two pairs of well-fitting jeans or more; two pairs slacks, dark and light at least one of them should be a cargo pant. Two+ button-up collared sport shirts. Three solid polo shirts, three sweaters or golf shirts or both.

Five+ undershirts; one sports jacket (dark blue or black) and you can top it up with one simple dress watch.

Now in the future you can top your wardrobe up with one navy blazer, three+ pocket squares, one overcoat for cold weather, one hat in fashion and some collar stays and cuff links. There you go guys, this is not so hard. That is it from me folks, until next week, God bless.
