Miss Valentine roars to life
A BEVY of 12 girls will tomorrow (Saturday) battle it out on the romp in search for this year Miss Valentine's in a potentially-explosive beauty pageant slated for Club Mandisa.
The event is part of the club's celebrations of Valentine's Day. Before the pageant, the organisers will host a Valentine's braai party which will see the audience having some binge and braai at the club car park. The models will take part in the festivities that also include pole and exotic dances.
Organiser of the event, Boniface Nyamanhindi, said several wheel spinners will take turns to battle it out on the turn tables.
“This is a special month of love and we urge couples and individuals to be part of the festivities. We always do such pageants and tomorrow's contest will be the fourth edition. We are celebrating Valentine's Day and at the same time we are promoting beauty among models. This is the chance for the girl child to shine and we are happy with the preparations done so far,” he said.
In last year's edition, 23-year-old curvaceous Kimberly Moyo was crowned Miss Valentine Mandisa after shrugging off competition from 12 other contestants at an exhilarating event held at Club Mandisa.
Brenda Ndemera was crowned the first princess while Tafadzwa Makandeni was second. Otilia Goredema was crowned Miss Personality.
Moyo walked away with monetary prize, a bottle of champaigne and an assortment of jewellery as well as a night's sleep in the Mandisa deluxe suite, including bed and breakfast.
