Social justice activism entails a consolidated effort and ability to self-introspect your worthwhile views of the universe and then shift focus in that direction to give a voice to those without one. — Terrence Mwedzi

Hobhouse kombis please bear with us. We know things are expensive all over and fuel is hard to get but charging us $12 for such a distance is just too much. We are also in the same predicament as you, so do not worsen our situation . — Tingadini Makhuyana

*** Government, please take action on this price madness. — Papa Dangamvura

No politicking, coronavirus is real Some leaders will never stop to amaze me, they are doing everything just to gain political mileage in the face of COVID-19. In the same vein, there are some misguided folks amongst us who still believe that the virus does not affect

blacks. No! COVID - knows no colour. And some reckless people are busy creating fake news to cause unnecessary panic amongst us. They are also criticising the Government’s efforts day and night.

This is not the time to politick, please! Corona is real. Furthermore, I think citizens must go into national

shutdown to contain the spread of the virus.

I would like to convey my deepest condolences to the Makamba family following the death of Zororo Makamba who succumbed to the corona virus disease. Zororo will be solely missed. —Terrence Mwedzi

I urge the Ministry of Transport to act kumaZupco uko. They should say every passenger must wear a mask as a way of preventing Covid-. Also, Zupco

buses must provide sanitizers to all those getting into the buses. — Ashley ***

Through your widely read newspaper, as residents in Zimta Park, we are pleading with urban public transport operators to consider giving us kombi for the City-Acid Shops route. We are made to pay the

same amount with people commuting to Hobhouse, which is not fair. Please assist! — Commuter

Remember the deaf

While the country has joined the rest of the world in raising awareness of COVID- (coronavirus), we note what stakeholders have been doing to spread the message to people who have hearing impairments and those with visual impairments. The general population has been able to get access to information on coronavirus, with some organisations going a step further to provide such literature in Ndebele and Shona. However, such information is not yet available in Braille. We therefore call upon stakeholders to move with speed

and make information on the pandemic available to all sections of the community so that no one is left behind. In order for us to win this war, everyone must have the right information on how to protect themselves from the virus, and in the unfortunate event that they fall sick, they should know the steps they should take to protect their families and those around them. Nonetheless, we applaud the Government for being proactive in order to make sure that the country remains safe from coronavirus. The Government has gone all out, coming up with preventive measures. The Manica Post has also been keeping us informed, keep it up! — Concerned

Stay at home At the time of writing this letter, there were two confirmed cases of COVID- in the country. As a nation, we are pleased that the Government has tightened coronavirus preventive measures, especially by forbidding public gatherings. We just hope that there will be a boost in expertise and machinery to easily detect the virus at our ports of entry. It is good for Zimbabweans to stay where they are at the moment and avoid travelling to areas of risk, just as the President said in his address to the nation. On the other hand, we need to desist from panic buying, especially that of hygiene products such as hand sanitsers, gloves and face masks. It is everyone’s right to access these products, especially

in the face of this pandemic. — Citizen
