Prophet enjoying sex via ‘bluetooth’

- Lovemore Kadzura Rusape Correspondent

A RUSAPE woman has dragged a self-styled prophet to Chief Makoni’s court accusing him of using his supernatural powers to be intimate with her (mubobobo) everyday since 2019.

This was after Jestina Magutakuona of Nyamombe Village had sought the services of Jonasi Mugombi.

Magutakuona, who is based in South Africa, recently broke down while narrating her ordeal before Chief Makoni’s court.

She said she has not known peace ever since she teamed up with her sister (name not supplied) to seek Mugombi’s services.

Mugombi claims to be a prophet under ZION Church (Yetambo).

Magutakuona said she also regrets spurning her mother’s advice not to seek help from Mugombi as she doubted his healing powers.

According to Magutakuona, her sister who is now late was not feeling well when they decided to consult Mugombi.

However, Magutakuona’s sister died a few days later.

“In 2019, I returned from South Africa to visit my sister who was not feeling well. She had swollen legs and was also losing blood. We approached Mugombi for assistance since we knew him as a prophet. My mother discouraged us from seeking his assistance, but we spurned her advice.

“When I returned to South Africa, I would get intimate with Mugombi in my dreams. My husband was still alive.

“I confronted Mugombi over the phone and he advised me to rub ashes and coarse salt on my private parts and it worked for a few days.

“My husband later passed on and it started again, this time it was now really serious. I get intimate with him every day and I am in great pain,” the distraught woman told the court.

Mugombi did not deny the allegations, but claimed that some tsikamutandas stole his two knobkerries and that they are now abusing them to sexually abuse Magutakuona.

“Indeed this woman and her late sister approached me for help. What she is experiencing is being caused by my knobkerries which were stolen by some tsikamutandas some time ago.

“I used the knobkerries for healing purposes only.

“These tsikamutandas are now misusing them to sexually abuse this woman. I don’t know their names and their whereabouts,” Mugombi told the court.

Chief Makoni ruled that a cleansing ceremony should be held.

He also said Magutakuona had to be receive traditional treatment.

Mugombi will foot the bills for both exercises.

They will return to court afterwards.
