Killer T, Freeman in Mutare Shutdown gig

ZIM-DANCEHALL chanters, Freeman and Killer T storm Mutare for the 2022 Mutare Shutdown Gig tonight (Friday). Freeman takes his new album, David and Goliath, to one of his favourite hunting grounds and he will be supported by Killer T who is expected to belt out old and newly-released songs that have made him a household name. These include Maisafanir­a Kundirega, Dai Zvaibvira, Takangodar­o, Hondo and Ndamuda.

Club Mandisa

Husky-voiced Zim-dancehall musician, Jah Signal performs at the watering hole for the first time tonight. The Harare-based chanter who is currently riding high with hit song Usabvume will be performing with a live band and he will be supported by local-based dance ensemble, Diamond Queens. The chanter is Zvakaramba.

Casa De Liquor

DJs Frazer and Terminator reintroduc­e the Micasa Happy hours in the main forum and VIP sections where patrons will be treated to diverse music and discounted prices on booze and selected meals. In a typical jukebox style, revellers will be offered an opportunit­y to request songs to be put on the playlist.

The popular entertainm­ent venue situated in Dangamvura reverberat­es into sound this weekend as veteran wheel spinners, DJ Candyman and Governor will take turns to entertain fun lovers. Fun lovers will be treated to an assortment of music while enjoying pork and booze which will be sold at pump price.

Chitsa Bar

DJ Spills headline tonight’s Friday Club bangers fiesta before he joins other selected deejays tomorrow for the old skool and new skool fiesta. Ragga Manyika outfit, Assegai Crew, will perform at the joint.

Bako (Sun City)

Resident sungura and afro-jazz band, Bako Band entertain fans with renditions and own compositio­ns this weekend. They will clash with jazz sensation, Sunrise Band tomorrow, with deejays Checkmaste­r and Tony Lee on rotation on the turntables.
