She said: “I am very happy and grateful to ZACC for this honour. It means a lot to me, and to our newsroom and the province at large. I hope that my story will encourage the girl child to work hard and make a positive difference in their communities.
“I am truly honoured to receive the 2023 overall winner and Anti-Corruption Investigative Reporter of the Year Award. This accomplishment was made possible by the invaluable guidance of my editors, Mrs Wendy Nyakurerwa-Matinde and Mr Cletus Mushanawani in my work.
“It was also a result of the collaboration at The Manica Post, especially with my colleagues and editors. In fact, this award, has motivated me to continue serving our loyal readers through thorough investigations,” an ecstatic Gukutikwa expressed.
The ZACC media awards are hosted by ZACC annually to honour journalists who would have excelled in covering anti-corruption issues that have impact on the society across the country.
