Exercise caution on the roads
Drivers must exercise caution on the roads at all times to avoid carnage. They must also ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy before embarking on journeys. It was very sad and painful to lose six lives in the road traffic accident that happened at 22 Miles along the Mutare-Chimanimani Highway last week on Friday. We wish those injured a speedy recovery through the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The police and VID can help in reducing accidents by enforcing rules and regulations that govern safe road usage through mounting roadblocks, impounding vehicles and bringing to book motorists found on the wrong side of the law. We applaud construction of Civil Registry provincial
HQ
The ongoing construction of the Civil Registry’s Manicaland provincial headquarters deserves plaudits. At completion, this is set to be a game changer in increasing convenience in the acquisition of important civil documents like birth certificates and passports, among others. The development, together with the construction of the NatPharm warehouse near Herbert Chitepo Provincial Hospital, are important milestones among other high impact projects being implemented by the Second Republic in order to improve the people’s quality of life. Runyararo Primary School opening Kudos to the opening of Runyararo Primary School for Cyclone Idai survivors in Chimanimani. Coming after decent accommodation and a clinic being opened in the resettlement area for the relocated families, this will go a long way in ensuring that beneficiaries have the required social amenities. Let’s all fight drug abuse
Let us continue reminding each other that there is need for everyone to be involved in fighting the drug and substance abuse menace. This must start in the family before we successfully tackle this problem at community, ward, district, provincial and national levels because the crippling effects of the scourge are far-reaching. –
