Second Republic doing a splendid job

The Manica Post team is doing a splendid job in highlighting some of the major milestones scored by President Mnangagwa’s administration. Indeed, the Second Republic is working hard to ensure that the quality of people’s lives is improved by rolling out and implementing high-impact projects for life-changing outcomes. This is being reflected across the critical sectors of the economy like business, agriculture, health, education and mining. Ultimately, no person and no place will be left behind in this transformational drive towards development, growth and prosperity. — Eric Rupiya **********

Continue capacitating extension officers Capacitating agriculture extension officers with Information Communication Technology tools is a master stroke by Government. Utilising technologies creates infinite possibilities for the agricultural sector as it allows both farmers and officers to utilise resources effectively and maximise yields. Food security and nutrition is one of the key deliverables in Government’s developmental and transformational drive towards Vision 2030. — Master Farmer

Good move to acquire critical equipment

City of Mutare is doing well in its efforts to improve service delivery by acquiring equipment needed for critical sectors like road rehabilitation, fire tendering, waste collection and management as well as attending to repairs like water pipe bursts and sewer blockages. Put to good use, this will go a long way in enhancing the status of the city and upgrade it to world class standards. The call is now on stakeholders like residents and business in Mutare to religiously pay their bills in full and well in time so as to smoothen the local authority’s operations. Such developments will dovetail with Government’s drive to attain an empowered and prosperous upper-middle income society through Vision 2030. — Teacher Bernard **********

Fake police officers fleecing public

Reports that there are bogus cops on the prowl are very disturbing. These fake police officers are fleecing unsuspecting members of the public of their hard-earned money and valuables. To prevent falling victim, I urge everyone to ask for the identification of those who present themselves as policemen. It is better to be safe than be sorry. The public can also effect citizen arrests of these unscrupulous people without necessarily taking the law into their own hands.
