THE mountainous resort town of Nyanga will reverberate into sound next Saturday as it hosts the much-awaited Tshisanyama Braai Festival hosted by Montclair Hotel and Casino in Juliasdale.

This is the accommodation and tourism facility’s first event this year after hosting a series of carnivals last year.

The organisers of the event said the braai fest will be headlined by the country’s most sought-after wheel spinners and Mcees, Fantan, Levels and Ribhe, who hail from the Chillspot Label.

Last year, the facility hosted high profile events such as the Annual Winter Festival where Jah Prayzah, Killer T and Abisha Palmer were the main acts.

For years, the festival was headlined by the late national hero, Oliver Mtukudzi.

The event was preceded by a two-day golf tournament that saw amateur and professional golf players taking part.

The festival is expected to bring together people from across Manicaland Province and beyond.

This will promote domestic tourism as people will have the opportunity to visit various scenic sites in Nyanga.

One of the organisers, Busi Tutani said the event is meant to draw visitors as they merry make and enjoy the beautiful and scenic sites of Nyanga.

“We have held numerous well supported entertainment events before and we are looking forward to have another scintillating one as we aim to market destination Nyanga.

“We are excited with the response so far. Tickets are being sold at selected places. The event, besides promoting domestic tourism, aims to brin people together through fun and art as they mix, mingle and share experiences.

“Accommodation facilities in the area will enjoy brisk business as visitors come in,” she said.
