Securico celebrates Women’s Day in style

INTERNATIO­NAL Women’s Day is a day that SECURICO never misses to celebrate and commemorat­e in its annual calendar ever since its inception in 1998. This year all roads led to Chiedza Child Care Centre in Waterfalls, Harare where over 250 children from disadvanta­ged background­s are supported.

It is not the first time for SECURICO to celebrate with Chiedza children but has done so since Year 2019.

The Childcare Centre was presented with Food Hampers contribute­d by SECURICO workforce and the company.

Their Managing Director graced the event as the Guest of Honour and afterwards took to the dance floor with the kids dancing to Jah Prayzah’s Dzamutsana­tsana.

While 15 Empowered SECURICO women celebrated Women’s day at Ekuphumule­ni Geriatric Nursing Home in Mzilikazi, Bulawayo where elderly people are supported.

The elders were presented with food stuffs from the SECURICO team.

The day was filled with much celebratio­n as Team SECURICO and Ekuphumule­ni residents and staff danced to DJ Cleo’s UJehova Uzoyigcina Impilo Yami. The company has 8 branches nationwide and has always strived to plough back in the communitie­s it operates from.

Mrs Tarisayi Nhamo who has been with the company for 17 years and rose within the ranks to HR Manager-Gender & Discipline, acclaimed that “today we also celebrate coming this far in a sector where we were previously considered not suitable.”

SECURICO employs over 4000 people, 900 of which are women making it the largest employer of women outside government.
