Ubuyeph’izolo,

Qeqeshiwe Mntambo (pictured) will on May 29 do a live recording session of the track at Ingqungqulu Farm just outside Bulawayo.

The farm is located along Solusi University road and hosts events such as horse riding, picnics and hide-outs.

The live recording session, dubbed Unplugged: An Inti

mate Story, will see the songstress being supported by Skaiva, whom she featured on

Kukhona, Pamela Magariro, Thandi Bhala, That’s X and Ashibass.

“The session is part of the works I have promised my fans in the past two months. I promised them new ways of doing things as well as new productions. This is part of the whole process and it's also a way of showing gratitude and giving back the love and support that I have received from many people in the years that I have been in the arts industry as a musician, dancer and actress,” she said.

Qeqe, as she is fondly known, promised that the event would be an intimate interface with her fans.

“We are not looking into having a very big crowd, our numbers will be guided by the Covid-19 safety regulations and we will adhere to all health precautions. Having a small number of attendees will also help in building the ambiance of an intimate affair with the music and with the fans. I want fans to feel what I will bring to them as well as I want to feel what they feel and what they have to say about my works,” she said.

Qeqeshiwe has collaborated with award-winning artiste Charles Mahlaba on his latest album titled Imizwa.

Qeqe, who is also featured on the yet-to-be-released project by Amazing Fab G, said there would be a surprise video coming out soon off her 2020 Singles Collection project.

The music diva is no newcomer in the entertainment circles as she has played the lead role of Suku in a local drama Suku, which saw her clinching the outstanding actress award at Nama 2013.

She has played Thuli in the rejuvenated Stitsha, a musical originally written by veteran playwright Cont Mhlanga and later reworked by Sihlangu Dlodlo under Qhube Productions.
