- BY STYLE REPORTER

GOSPEL musician Social Doctor (pictured below) has ended a two-year music break with the production of a single titled Zvibatei, which is a precursor to an album titled Panopfuurika set for release early next year.

Born Farai Makandanje, Social Doctor made his entry onto the music scene with a single titled Buruka Uone in 2018 before he released an album Munoshamisa a year later.

Apart from his two albums — Munoshamisa and Kufanana NaJesu — Social Doctor has had collaborations with Olinda Marowa on the song Anoropofadza, Blessing Shumba on the song Dzingori Nyasha, as well as Kudzi Nyakudya and Bethany Pasinawako Ngolomi on the song Ndinotenda.

Bethany provided backing vocals on most of Social Doctor’s songs, including the latest production Zvibatei, which will be released on October 11.

The single was produced at Lyton Studios, owned by Lyton Ngolomi.

“We have nished the recording and the audio version of the song Zvibatei and right now we are working on the visuals of the song,” said Social Doctor.

“We will do a virtual and radio launch of the single and we also encourage those who support us to subscribe to our YouTube channel —Social Doctor as all our content will be uploaded there.

“The song speaks to the teenagers and today’s young generation to desist from things like substance abuse, pre-marital sex, internet addiction and worldly things.

“It encourages the youths to prioritise Kingdom things and to make sound decisions that they will not regret in future.”

Social Doctor said he was inspired to write the song after realising that many youths were committing suicide very young ages.

“I saw it necessary as the Social Doctor to try and advise the youths through music and who knows, we might save one or two lives,” he said.
