How to accomplish the impossible

- BY HUMPHREY MTANDWA

GOD has deposited in man tools that if he can only use, he would accomplish anything. In the book of Genesis, God came down to confound the language of the builders at Babel because he noticed the success of common purpose. In our time there are buildings that are taller than the height the builders at Babel had reached and even as man we have flown to space yet still at that height, we have not reached heaven or God’s dwelling. It was not just a tower but a portal they were making. This was not just about the height the tower would reach.

God acknowledged that these people, because they spoke one language, they had the potential to do the impossible. When God confounded the language, he did more than we may notice with the natural eye. In our time, man can translate languages and its easier to communicate but even with all that, man don’t have the same unity as the men at Babel. It seems Babel did not corrupt just the words man use for communication, but it uprooted something else that caused man to come together. I have seen man who speak the same language but failing to come together.

When you look at the bees, they have an ability to communicate in a language man cannot comprehend. Scientists believe in what they term the “hive mind talk”, which refers to the ability of a bee to communicate its thoughts to others through the mind without using audible language but projecting thoughts. So, the theory is expanded when they say just a single thought can be communicated from one bee to all the other bees in the hive. Meaning what’s on one’s bee’s mind can be shared with all the bees within the hive.

Have you noticed that a friendship can grow to a point that the friends can think the same thoughts and have the same plans at the same moment? At Babel, men lost that deep connection that allowed their thoughts to be synched. No wonder bees can build such amazing structures because their connection is complex.

In marriage couples can restore that hive connection that was lost at Babel. Couples can grow to a point that they share thoughts and emotions. Some couples can know that the other one is not well even if they are hundreds of miles away. What creates that bond is love.

This tool was lost at Babel but it seems it can be activated through love. I have seen people working together on one project and because of the love they have for that, they develop that hive connection.

In a hive each bee’s focus is on the hive and not on itself as an individual. The reason why some marriages have this hive connection is because that self-aspect is no longer in existence. Men at Babel became selfish and more selfdriven and because of this they lost an ability that could have pushed them to accomplish greater things. At Babel God said nothing will be impossible for these people because of their unity. Imagine if the world had that unity, how much we would accomplish. Love, not selfishness is that key that unites. Happy New Year
