Sect celebrates anniversary

THE Johanne Masowe ( The Fifth of Africa) Apostolic sect led by a Zanu PF apologist will celebrate its 37th anniversary on Saturday.

The church’s leader Andby Makururu said it has not been an easy journey since launching the church in 1985.

The church has branches in all the country’s provinces and across the globe.

“I saw an angel who tasked me to start a church so that I could fully help people. I formed my church in 1985 and I have never looked back,” Makururu said.

“It has not been an easy road for me as I faced many challenges along the way as people would even give police false reports about me so that I could be arrested.

The 37th anniversary celebrations will be held at church’s “Pamatank” shrine in the eastern border city on February 12 and 13.

Makururu also leads the independent Ruvheneko Rwenyenyedzi Trust which spearheads the fight against genderbased violence and child marriages.
