Robber uses sex to lure victims

At least five women in Mutoko were robbed of their mobile phones and money after being lured to bush sex by Simbai Chikowe, popularly known as Madhongi.

The matter came to light at the Mutoko magistrates courts on Friday when Chikowe appeared before Magistrate Elijah Sibanda.

Prosecutor Nathan Mujuru told the court that from August 2021 to January this year, Madhongi would propose to women in bank queues or Mukuru outlets and lure them for bush sex where he would then rob them of their valuables.

Police received reports and arrested Madhongi at his house number 2526 Chinzanga.

The matter continues tomorrow after the accused requested for a legal representation. He was remanded in custody. — SIMBARASHE SITHOLE
