VERSATILE musician Robyn Anesu Katahle Dawani, popularly known as Tahle weDzinza in music circles has joined forces with multi-talented DJ Naida, born Coleen Danai Goredema to release a Valentine’s Day track.

A former Military Touch Movement member, Tahle weDzinza has never disappointed when it comes to collaborations, and this is evident in this latest production.

DJ Naida, a radio DJ, presenter, producer and song writer, weighs in the Amapiano production with experience something that has given impetus to the single.

The single is titled Sweetie Lavo and is themed around Valentine’s Day.

“The song Sweetie Lavo is a collaboration between DJ Naida and myself. I've wanted for very long to do a joint work with a female musician,” Tahle weDzinza told Standard Style.

“It’s really refreshing to have this work out because I know as women we tend to make it hard to work together because of our insecurities, over competitive spirits.

“I had a tonne of fun working with DJ Naida on this project. Many lessons to learn as always, but it was fun. Collaborations work when there is mutual respect and support and the willingness to concede.

“The mistake most people make is thinking collaborations are about dominance, when it is about creating synergies. I think the mark of artistic business maturity is co- creation, understanding that your ideas can exist with someone else, when you strike that balance magic is created.”

Apart from collaborations she did with Jah Prayzah and Tocky Vibes, among others, Tahle weDzinza has released singles Love is a Friend, Hautendeseke, Mabukabieni and Teleunga (Follow Me).

DJ Naida rose to fame in the music arena when she dropped hits such as Love Crazy, I Want It All, Friday Night, Grapevine 16 Bars and My Love, among others which became popular in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
