Female fraudsters on the loose
POLICE in Bulawayo have launched a manhunt for two women who defrauded a 32-year-old man of US$7 701 under the pretext of looking for change.
The suspects approached the complainant looking for change for US$10 000, which they said was in US$100 denominations.
After the transaction, the man discovered that he had been given US$99 in US$1 notes wrapped with a US$100 note.
The victim had given them US$8 000, prejudicing him of US$7 701. Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube con rmed the incident which happened early this month.
“We are appealing to anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of the suspects to report to the nearest police station," Ncube said.
