Female fraudsters on the loose

POLICE in Bulawayo have launched a manhunt for two women who defrauded a 32-year-old man of US$7 701 under the pretext of looking for change.

The suspects approached the complainan­t looking for change for US$10 000, which they said was in US$100 denominati­ons.

After the transactio­n, the man discovered that he had been given US$99 in US$1 notes wrapped with a US$100 note.

The victim had given them US$8 000, prejudicin­g him of US$7 701. Bulawayo police spokespers­on Inspector Abednico Ncube con rmed the incident which happened early this month.

“We are appealing to anyone with informatio­n that might lead to the arrest of the suspects to report to the nearest police station," Ncube said.
