VID officer nabbed for corruption

A 48 year old Vehicle Inspectorate Department ( VID) examiner based in Bulawayo has been charged with criminal abuse of o ce.

Tawanda Mangwanda was remanded out of custody to April 11 when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tavengwa Sangster on Monday.

It is alleged that Mangwanda unlawfully and intentionally caused Ayanda Ncube (37) to fail a learner driving test on February 27.

This is after he alleged that the learner had failed to stop at a Stop sign yet there was no such signage.

He was reported to police leading to his arrest. —
