Rustler jailed for 47 years

A Shurugwi resident Luckmore Kunyandini will be condemned to prison life until 2069 following his conviction over stock theft charges.

Shurugwi Magistrate Percy Mukumba sentenced Kunyandini to 47 years in prison, suspending two after his conviction on ve counts of stock theft.

In mitigation Kunyandini said he wanted to raise money for his wife’s medical bills after she was diagnosed with cancer.

Kunyandini was caught in possession of two oxen belonging to Blessed Mavavire, an ox belonging to Givemore Breakfast, one ox belonging to Rindai Chinyakata (56), one cow belonging to Success Chibi and the other one belonging to Andrew Rukuruva.
