If I were a boss

- By Fungai Jayaguru (Superlady) ●

If I were a world boss,

Ruling just for a day,

I would spread the word, “it's important” To acknowledge life beyond our experiences, Treat everyone with love,

Because we don’t know what another is going through, I would show you the graves,

Victims of societal judgements and pressure,

I’d make you regret,

Ever hurting anyone's feelings,

Cause I’ll ask you bluntly,

How would you feel if the same was done to you?

If I were to rule,

I think you would understand,

That prayer is not a substitute for effort and hardwork! Success is not sexually transmitted,

I’ll even read you the verse,

That says God hates laziness

I’ll gently express,

Because I know how it hurts,

When you are pulled off your hiding crevice,

I would question witches and wizards,

Instead of bewitching innocent souls,

Why not use the magic to bank billions?

If I were the boss,

I would boldly declare,

Tell everyone it’s okay,

To make mistakes because it's how we learn, Make them accept failure with a light heart,

For good and bad moments are both principles of nature.

Give everyone a hand,

Rock them back to their feet,

Whisper them a prayer,

Because God never ever fails!

I will consider the boys,

Give them a moment to breathe and breakdown, Because I know how much they try,

Bury their scars because "men don't cry"

They are also humans!

Trying hard to make it yet sometimes slidding!

I would flash you the cards,

Conversation you are not ready for,

The world is a mess,

Everyone seems to care less,

Sexual awareness can't be a taboo if the deed is a public deal,

I'll hand condoms in church,

Because the saint-play has butchered souls, Abstinence has since failed, give protection a chance! I wouldn't mind being the black sheep,

For condemning bible commercialization,

I'll say it aloud,

For the world is full of learned fools and intelligent robbers!

But I ain't the boss,

But still let me say,

We haven't given up on romance and love,

We just gave up on heartbreaks and disappointments, Everyone is in defense mode,

None of us is ready to try,

Build a healthy relationship without anxiety oozing, We aren't ready to admit,

Mjolo is just a word to ease the pain,

We all want love but we don't know where to find it, If I were a boss!
