Mudzi man up for murder
A Mudzi man struck his colleague with a log over an undisclosed dispute, killing him on the spot.
The matter came to light at Mutoko magistrates court when Prosper Chigunda (26) appeared before magistrate Elijah Sibanda on Friday facing murder charges.
He was not asked to plead to the charge and was asked to apply for bail at the High Court.
Prosecutor Nathan Majuru alleged that on April 22 at around 10pm and at Mapombo Business Centre, Chigunda spotted the now deceased Nyasha Mungazi standing alone.
He picked a log and fatally struck him on the head. After committing the offence, he vanished into the dark but people who witnessed the incident filed a police report, leading to his arrest.—
