Qoki donates to Nyathi’s widow
A United Kingdom-based women’s organisation has extended a helping hand to Elvis Nyathi's widow, Nomsa Tshuma.
Qoki ZiNdlovukazi Community Organisation, founded in 2016 by UK-based Zimbabwean women from Matabeleland, donated US$1600 to the widow last week.
“Elvis Nyathi's widow has collected her donation from Qoki Clinic in Bulawayo," Qoki’s founding leader Sithule Nicole Tshuma announced on social media.
“She sent a voice note expressing gratitude, thank you very much ladies."
Nyathi was killed and set alight last month by a South African mob targeting foreign nationals in that country.
In 2017 Qoki was nominated for the UK National Diversity Awards in recognition of charitable activities. With contributions starting from 20 pounds, the women are now owners of properties and businesses in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
