Billiat asked to take pay cut to stay at Kaizer Chiefs

-

JOHANNESBURG Kaizer Chiefs management has made the decision to implement salary deductions for some of their players, leading to speculation about potential player exits from the club.

Recent reports indicate that Itumeleng Khune and Khama Billiat have been o ered new contracts by Amakhosi, but both deals involve a reduction in their salaries.

While Khune and Billiat have the opportunity to extend their stays at Naturena, they would need to accept the salary deductions.

An insider con rmed that Khune would continue at the club but not on his previous lucrative earnings.

The details of the salary reductions for Billiat have also been previously reported, with suggestions of a 50% paycut if he decides to remain at Kaizer Chiefs.

The implementation of these salary deductions raises the possibility of either player leaving if they are dissatised with the new o ers.

However, it appears that Khune is more likely to sign on, while Billiat’s future at the club remains uncertain.

In addition to Khune and Billiat, several other players have been linked with possible exits from Kaizer Chiefs.

Bruce Bvuma, Austin Dube, Njabulo Ngcobo, Sabelo Radebe, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Cole Alexander, Phathushedzo Nange, and Caleb-Bon ls Bimenyimana have all fallen out of favour with coach Arthur Zwane and are reportedly seeking regular playing time elsewhere.

The future of these players, along with the potential departures of Khune and Billiat, will undoubtedly shape the composition of the Kaizer Chiefs squad in the upcoming season. tdpelmedia
