Gospel Power member goes solo

- Wilson Kakurira

GOSPEL Power’s Kenneth Suwaleyi has released his second solo album titled ‘Life’.

The ten track album urges Christians to reconcile with Jesus Christ, the saviour of mankind.

In an interview with The Sunday Mail Religion, the lanky musician said the album is out and already on the market.

“I am proud to announce that my second solo album is done and has been a success.

This new album carries ten tracks and each song speaks about Jesus because the life of mankind revolves around him.

“As a Christian and musician, I sing sermons and my lyrics come from the Bible as I always try to inspire and better the lives of Christians.

Some of my songs are also inspired by the oracles of Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa because I fellowship at the UFIC church. When I listen to him preaching I can easily pen songs.

“My debut solo album titled ‘Mharidzo’ was a success and I believe that this new album is not only going to encourage Christians to remain resolute in prayer but will go a long way in turning souls to Christ,” Suwaleyi said.

“In compiling this new album, I took note of the fact that despite being Christians, we listen to and love different genres of music and so to reach out to all gospel music lovers, I tried to be diverse.”

The album carries tracks like ‘ Ngatidzokereyi’, ‘ Ndinobvuma’, ‘ Sihamba Lo Jesu’, ‘Mvura ngayinaye’, ‘Kuita KwaJesu’, ‘Ujesu yiNkosi’, ‘Kutenda Jesu’, ‘Shoko renyu’, ‘Ziva nguva’ and ‘Thul’mamele’.

Suwaleyi highlighted that Gospel Power remains intact though members have the liberty to pursue solo projects.

The four member group produced hits such as ‘Kana Zvamubata’ and ‘Who is this Man’.
