SOUTH African gospel artiste Loyiso Bala will grace the second edition of the Prophets Emmanuel and Ruth Makandiwa Invitational Concert Awards Night (Permican) later this month.

Director for Christ TV, Pastor Ted Lazaro who is charge or organising the awards said the 35-year-old artiste will spice up the ceremony which is scheduled for September 19 at the City Sports Centre.

Pastor Lazaro said they invited the Eastern Cape based artiste as he ‘personifies the best multi-faceted R&B on the African continent as his exposure will benefit local gospel musicians.’

“Loyiso is an all rounder artiste who is well versed in performing. He is a multi-award winning artiste and we believe he will raise the bar on the day,” Pastor Lazaro said.

Bala has received a South Africa Music Award and a Metro FM award. He has also been nominated for the MTV awards alongside the likes of Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Akon and P Square.

His personality has also won him style awards with the popular ‘You’ Magazine.

Pastor Lazaro said the Permican awards will soon turn into an international platform where foreign artistes will compete with locals.
