Exercising free will for His glory

WHEN Jesus Christ heals you, you may permanently follow and have a permanent relationship with Him in heaven, says Christian and Healing Ministries for all nations leader Pastor Anselm Mvenge (AM).

- Tendai Manzvanzvike Divine Appointments

HE RECENTLY spoke with Tendai Manzvanzvike ( TM) about healing and deliverance sessions that the Lord has enabled him to perform. TM: Your ministry was on national TV recently. What was the main attraction? AM: We thank God for expanding us. Yes, we were on ZTV in August, and this month as well – and I am happy to say that both instances were a celebration of God’s healing and deliverance power, through the name of Jesus Christ. A few months ago, as I was praying for people with different ailments, Mrs Faustina Konje brought her 26-yearold son Tatenda Konje, and she was carrying him on her back. It turned out that Mrs Konje had walked from the bus stop to our church, with Tatenda on her back. This had been her burden for the past 26 years since Tatenda was born with a birth defect, which made him unable to walk. For those past 26 years, Mrs Konje had been carrying him on her back. That was the only way she could move him from point A to point B. She has been to different churches and traditional healers seeking her son’s healing as well as assistance for a wheelchair and anything to enable him to walk, all to no avail. Tatenda immediately walked after I prayed for him on the prayer line. The Lord Jesus Christ gave him instant healing. Glory to God! And, through assistance from the Christian Healing Ministries partners, we were able to donate a wheel chair and a walker to him, to assist him when travelling long distances. However, Tatenda appeared on national

TV in August, his mother was now

seeking assistance from well-wishers for him to go to school. TM: And, the appearance this month also focused on a teenage boy?

AM: Tafadzwa Mugoni, the young man that people watched singing with our choir was delivered in 2012. He was brought to church by his elder brother who had also received his deliverance and is now a successful chartered accountant overseas. Tafadzwa was struggling with his school work then, as well as suffering from anti-social behaviour. But as you know from the deliverance of the children of Israel from Egypt, deliverance is a process which is only completed when we get to heaven. TM: Is Tafadzwa fully restored now? AM: From his ZBC interviews and his excellent performance in both his O and A Levels, Tafadzwa is now fully restored. I continue to pray for him such that God gives him the grace to maintain his deliverance until he gets to heaven. TM: Allow me to take you back to some of the prophetic messages, which we had an opportunity to write about, corruption in particular. The vice continues to be exposed, if media reports are anything to go by. For how long should people wait for this cancer to be completely cured? AM: Corruption is a sin, which will only end when individuals who are victims to it both in high and low ranks earnestly and sincerely repent and give themselves to Jesus Christ and further make Jesus their pattern of life. As long as people continue to be greedy for the riches of this world, which will perish with this world, and also do not respect fellow human beings created in the image of God, there is no way corruption will end. TM: I was also reading your message of July 31, 2016 when you said, “The world in which we are living in today is getting darker and darker because of the increase of evil activities.” Why this state when every Sunday church buildings are packed to capacity with worshippers? In fact, Zimbabwe’s Christian population is estimated at over 75 percent. AM: Many people filling church buildings and stadiums today are not after salvation, they are after quick material gains of this world. They are following prophets who only prophesy financial breakthroughs, business breakthroughs, and everything to do with this world. People love messages like, “receive your new car”, “receive your house.” Jesus came to win souls for God and not to give worldly possessions. But to get back to your question, the world is getting darker and darker because people are concentrating on worldly things, which lead to more and more corruption. TM: As a minister of the gospel, does this state of affairs discourage you, if not, why? AM: Just as my Lord and Master Jesus Christ was never discouraged, to the point of dying on the cross for our salvation, I will not be discouraged at all. This is actually the reason why He called and sent me to preach the message of redemption, deliverance and salvation - to win souls, which will repent from darkness to light. TM: In that same message you also wrote, “Do not follow crowds, but obey and follow the word of God”. What do you mean by crowds because churches thrive on crowds, large crowds in fact? AM: God looks at us as individuals, according to His word. When God rewards or judges us according to Revelation 20:11ff, He will look at us individually. He gave each one of us a free will, and He expects us to exercise such free will for His glory. Remember that there is no such thing as a passport for crowds, but only for individuals. You were born alone and you will die alone. Like I said, God gave us free will. TM: We have seen some pastors not only

attacking Government, but have also taken to demonstrating against Government. There are different viewpoints about the issue with some saying that it is their human right as enshrined in the Constitution. Others say it’s unbiblical. What is your viewpoint? AM: I would not like to comment on behalf of any other pastor other than myself as I have a clear message from God, which is only to turn the hearts of men to God, just as the Holy Bible directs us. True messengers pray for their leaders and Government, and through sincere prayers, God by the power of His Holy Spirit, will bring peace and harmony and not disorder. TM: How has your ministry been affected by the current economic challenges facing the nation, and how are you coping? Will the introduction of bond notes help? AM: The Ministry has not been affected since we are always guided by the prophetic theme, which we receive at New Year. For us, we are going through a time of re-establishment. TM: Finally, how is your ministry packaging and presenting the message of Jesus Christ in this age of Information, Communication Technologies? What are the benefits and downsides for the church in Zimbabwe embracing these new technologies? AM: Through the theme of re-establishment, the Ministry has been raised high as we now have our own live stream through the internet. We are now reaching out to many people in every part of the world. Through social media, the ministry is also able to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to many people at the same time, as well as praying for them. For 1 John 5: 4-5 says, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”
