Tambu Madzivire is a career insurer who has over 20 years in the insurance industry.She is very passionate about her profession and believes in development insurance, a new branch of risk based thinking that believes insurance is not only about risk transfer but an active economic driver that supports national growth through insurance innovation.
Tambu believes that the success of the company is dependent on the company's ability to listen to its customers and provide ideal solutions to customer needs. Tambu's tremendous rise in the insurance industry is a result of hard work and persistence. She is a devout Christian, whose strong faith is a result of her personal experiences.
Tambu is a family woman, a proud mother of two who believes so much in the philosophy of a balanced work-life. This personal principle has enabled her to perform exceptionally well in these two fronts. As a mother and wife leading at the helm of a top performing company is not an easy task but her professional principles and Christian values have been guiding pillars to her success.
Tambu joined Champions Insurance in October 2016 and within a short space of time, the company has already bagged a prestigious award- Leadership in Insurance Award (Megafest), being the results of innovative projects she spearheaded. Her leadership prowess is already bearing fruits in this fairly new position.
One of the innovative projects she fronted is the Shopper insurance project, a new model of insurance distribution in Zimbabwe that will see clients accessing insurance covers in the retail supermarkets. Champions Insurance partnered with the leading supermarkets, TMPicknPay, OK, Bon Marche, Choppies and Food World to bring insurance and licensing convenience to the insuring public.

Tambu Madzivire is a holder of Bachelor of Commerce degree in Insurance and Risk Management from the National University of Science and Technology. She is also a holder of a Diploma in Insurance from United Kingdom (ACII) and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute.
She brings with her a wealth of insurance experience, having worked in all facets of short term insurance from insurance broking, direct underwriting as well as reinsurance. TambuMadzivire has both local and regional experience having started her career in 1995 at Diamond Insurance Company.
In 1997 she moved to Zimnat Insurance Company then on to Grand Reinsurance Company, where she worked as the General Manager before she founded Dynamic Insurance Brokers in 2008 where she was the CEO. She left Dynamic in 2010 to join the United Nations Development Program, AMSCO arm, in the West African Country of Nigeria where she was the Reinsurance Consultant for Adic Insurance Company.
In 2012, she came back to Zimbabwe and joined Credit Insurance Company Zimbabwe as the Head of Operations before moving to Champions Insurance Company where she is currently working as the Managing Director. Tambu Madzivire has over 15 years of Management experience and 11 of which were at executive level.
