Chamisa’s ‘stupid’ supporters need to return the favour

EDITOR — This letter is directed to MDC Alliance supporters who have always claimed that they stand by Nelson Chamisa through thick and thin. I am sure a sizable number have changed their minds after his utterances last week when he described them as ‘stupid’ for the August 1 protests.

While he was saying that, I was just wondering if this was the same guy who went on his Twitter handle in the morning of that particular day and encouraged his supporters to defend their vote.

Some might have forgiven him for some of the blatant lies in the past, the countless number of times he has made U-turns in the quest to vindicate himself, but it’s now clear for all to see that this guy will do anything to save his skin.

The MDC supporters were willing to die for him but as it stands, Mr Chamisa is not willing to reciprocate. He has now realised that these protests were without doubt the spark plug that led to loss of life on that day. To MDC Alliance supporters, if your leader thinks you are stupid, then I guess he is right if you continue supporting him.
